Caespitose palm in dense cluster with more than 40 stems. Stem 595 cm, DBH: 3 cm, armed with spines. Four leaves, leaf sheath 35 cm, petiole 25 cm, rachis 73 cm, number of pinnae: 2 x 21. One infructescence with green fruits. Vernacular name: Hurpi Chunda (Quichua). No uses. Informant: Mercedes Mamallacta (Quichua).
