Leaves 12, sheath more than 56 cm long, petiole 13 cm long, rachis 240 cm long, pinnae 114, inserted in groups of 7-5-10-4-5-6-5-7-4-3-6-4-4-5-4-4-4-3-3-5-3-4-2-3-5 (counted base to apex), basal pinna of each group erect, apical pinnae horizontal, middle pinna 65 x 3.5 cm. Infrutescences 7, infrafoliar, number of rachillae 77, basal rachilla 17 cm long, apical rachilla 19 cm long. N.v.: Chontilla. Uses: Sold at roadside at 500 sucres per infructescence (rate 1090 US). Used for making chicha.
