Caespitose palm, 3 m tall. Stem 1 m long. Leaves 7; petiole 40 cm long; rachis 1 m long; pinnae 34 per side, regularly distributed, in one plane. According to Sr. Enrique Tabuie (quichua) the mature fruits are black and edible. NV (quichua) Achupara.
